Misty has been in our care for about a month now . We have a cat and has not shown any aggression towards her. According to the shelter that we got her at she’s about two years old.
She has shown signs of food aggression and unfortunately she has bit my girlfriend that I live with over food. We thought that she was getting better with her food aggression as we haven’t seen any signs of it since the first week we got her in May. But June 2nd she lounged at my girlfriend and we had to go to the ER for her bites. Was very weird since she had gotten a lot better and then went to this. My girlfriend is now terrified of her and this is the point on where we are at. She’s a really good dog and in my opinion needs someone that knows how to handle this certain behavior. I am a first time dog owner and have tired really hard (currently unemployed) and have been with her almost everyday for the whole day working on it. I really can’t see her living with us because of the fear my girlfriend has. I don’t know much about her past because the shelter didn’t know anything but her being a stray.
